Part 1: About Factory Settings

A factory restore erases the information and settings on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod and installs the latest iOS or iPod software.
To reset an iPhone, follow these steps: Tap Settings, then General. Scroll down until you see Reset. Tap Erase All Content and Settings. Depending on whether you've set a Passcode or a Restrictions Passcode, you might have to enter that code or password in order to erase and reset it. There is no way to reset the device unless you enter the code(s). Enter your Apple ID password. This is how the account can be removed from your device, and Find My iPhone can be switched off.
The reset process can take a minute or two, after which you'll see the welcome screen asking you to swipe to continue. It's then ready to be sold on or taken to an Apple Store for repair.

Part 2: Restore Data from iTunes Backup File

Step 1. Run the program

After installing iPhone Data Recovery program, launch it on the computer. On the main window, choose "Recover" and move to the mode "Recover iOS Data".

Step 2. Select iTunes backup file and scan

All your iTunes backup files will be displayed on the window. Choose the one for your iPhone and click "Start Scan" for scanning.

Step 3. Preview and recover deleted data

When the scan is done, all found data including the deleted ones from the iTunes backup file will be displayed at categories. You can preview them all one by one. Choose the one you desire by checking the boxes before and press the button "Recover" to save them on your computer.

Part 3: Retrieve Data from iCloud Backup File

Step 1. Run the program and log in your iCloud account

Run iPhone Data Recovery program and turn to the mode "Recover from iCloud Backup" in "Recover". Then sign in your iCloud account by typing your Apple ID and password. It's absolutely safe that the program won't keep your account information.

Step 2. Download iCloud backup file

When login, you can see all your iCloud backup files shown at list on the frame. Choose the one including your lost data and click "Download" to extract it.
